I need to qualify this with the fact that I am a realist - I know that there is a price point for certain industries, that there are fewer people who pay the top price for things which means that not everyone can charge the highest price. This isn't about charging the highest price, it's about charging the RIGHT price for what you do, without those money blocks getting in the way.
Now I'm hearing some of you mumbling in the background "she's going all woowoo on us!" I'm not at all. This is proven neuroscience. Our brain is like a muscle and it takes on board what we tell it and exercises that part of the brain. If you educate your brain to believe that people 'just won't pay that price', you soon find yourself believing, knowing that this is the truth. And if you educate your brain into believe that you 'can't charge THAT', this too you know as a truth.
You see, our brain is actually an extra being inside our bodies, and it's a very clever one too. It's so clever, it turns our thoughts into reality. And it does this by providing us with the thoughts and words that prove us right. We all go through this. Even millionaires have money blocks - it's just theirs are set at a higher point than many of ours are.
it's time to decide, do you really want to make money in business? Really? Then start educating your mind that this is what you want, start telling yourself that a fair price is acceptable, start telling yourself that it's ok to charge properly for your services. And do this repeatedly until you find yourself knowing this is the truth.
Alternatively, you can keep going the way you are, charge little, discount a lot, do work for free - there are plenty of clients out there who are jumping at the chance to abuse your good nature.
